# Overview

## FireForge is a **strategy explorer**** for ****SPX options strategies****.**

That means you can input your desired performance parameters and FireForge gives you the strategies that best suit your needs instantly, instead of having to manually backtest everything yourself, which takes time and money.

This is possible, because we backtested a large set of strategies in a variety of different settings and collected all the results. Learn more about our methlodology [here](https://fireforge.gitbook.io/fireforge-documentation/methodology)!

Strategies vary in performance depending on when you use them. There is no single silver bullet approach that works all the time. Adaptability is key and the knowledge of when to do what can yield the key to making money when markets are turbulent.
